Comrie
On the edge of the Scottish Highlands, the village of Comrie nestles amidst spectacular scenery and offers an ideal holiday location.
The village is located on the banks of the rivers Ruchil and Lednock which then flow into the Earn. There is a multitude of activities on offer including golf, sailing, fishing, cycling, bowling and endless lovely countryside walks. There is an abundance of wildlife to look out for including red squirrels, red and roe deer, kingfishers, waxwings, goldcrests, bullfinches, buzzards and osprey.
The village has a thriving community with a good selection of shops, tearooms and restaurants. A wider range of shops including supermarket shopping can be found in the town of Crieff (7 miles to the east).
Comrie is very central for touring the Scottish Highlands and easily accessible from Edinburgh and Glasgow (approx 1 hr), Stirling and Perth (approx 35 mins).
